Sofia Patrí­cia Meneses da Silva

Sofia Silva is a PhD Student on Agrarian Sciences, specialty Food Technology at University of Azores, supported by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) with a scholarship, her research is focused on the development of edible coatings and films with antimicrobial and antifungal activity to improve the safety and quality of dairy products, especially on matured cheeses. Sofia holds both Bachelor’s degree in Agrarian Sciences- Branch Animal Production (2014) and a Master's degree in Food Technology and Safety (2016) from University of Azores (UAC).
