Dominika Jurášková

Dominika Jurášková started her university path at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia. Where she got her Bachelor (2017) and Master's degree (2019) in Applied Biology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. She did her bachelor's and master's thesis at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. The subject of her thesis were Coeliac active proteins, proteins extracted from different types of cereals, pseudo cereals and legumes and their allergenicity. After finishing her studies she went onto an Erasmus internship to the University of the Azores where she later applied for a PhD scholarship which was awarded to her in 2021 by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. Her PhD project is about - Production, characterization and food application of lactic acid bacteria-derived exopolysaccharides with health-promoting benefits.
